Description

The English ‘Dig for Victory’ campaign, which began at the start of WWII and encouraged civilians to grow their own vegetables to relieve farmers from feeding citizens as well as soldiers.(1) It was the precursor to the ‘Grow Your Own’ campaign in Australia which promoted the same action.
