Dublin Core
Title
The Women's Land Army
Description
The shortage of manpower in Agriculture led to the recruiting of women to work the land. Whilst this step angered some conservatives who felt threatened that a typically “male” job could be done by women, Australia had no choice.(1) The Women’s Land Army was small but provided vital aid to farmers in producing food for the forces.(2)
