Coca-Cola, or “Coke,” was increasing in popularity in Australia leading up to WWII with the first factory for Coca-Cola production opening in 1938 in Sydney.(1) Like many other American food products, Coke increased in popularity as Australian culture continued to sway towards America, shown in the expansion of factories across Australia.(2)
